Advisory Council Saraf

R.K. Saraf

R.K. Saraf was the former Deputy Managing Director and the Chief Financial Officer at State Bank of India (SBI), Mumbai, India. Under his leadership, SBI launched a number of new strategic business initiatives, payment solutions and products for incubating emerging business lines. He also served as a Director of the National Payment Corporation of India (NPCI).

Mr. Sarafhas about 40 years of professional experience at SBI during which he has held a variety of key assignments in India and abroad. He was the Chief General Manager (CGM), Ahmedabad, CGM, IT, General Manager at SBI Patnaand Senior Vice President (Trade Finance) at SBI Frankfurt.

In the field of Insurance, he held the position of Senior Vice President & Head of Sales (East Zone) at SBI Life Insurance Co Ltd.

As the CGM, Gujarat of SBI,he was responsible for managing 1100 branches of SBI and achieving profit, business and quality of assets targets. He was also responsible for managing relationships with all stakeholders, external entities and Regulators and for aggressive expansion of the branch network and alternate delivery channels for banking services in the state of Gujarat.

In his position as CGM, Information Technology at SBI, he was responsible for implementing a number of projects of gigantic scale such as networking over 10,000 offices of the Bank worldwide, implementing Core Banking solution at over 13,000 domestic and international branches and growing the ATM network to more than 25,000.

Mr. Saraf holds a Masters’ Degree in Science from IIT Kanpur, a Bachelor’s Degree in Science from BITS, Pilani and Diploma in Financial Management from Mumbai University. He is a Certified Associate of the Indian Institute of Bankers and a Fellow of the Insurance Institute of India.

Mr. Ganesh

Retired CGM / Principal, Staff Training College,
Reserve Bank of India

Shri S Ganesh, former Chief General Manager, Reserve Bank of India (RBI), has wide-ranging experience of more than three decades in the fields of Central Banking, Commercial Banking and Training. He has held Senior Management Level positions at RBI, viz.Principal Chief General Manager at the Department of Expenditure & Budgetary Control,Chief General Manager, Department of Banking Supervision, Regional Director of RBI, Bihar, Banking Ombudsman, RBI, Tamil Nadu etc.
He was also the RBI Nominee Director on the Boards of Oriental Bank of Commerce and UCO Bank. In the field of Training, Shri Ganesh has served as the Principal and also as Faculty for about 8 years at the RBI Training College in Chennai and the Bankers’ Training College, RBI, Mumbai.

Mr. C.J.Nair

Retired Principal Secretary – Mumbai High Court

Retd Principal Secretary – Mumbai High Court - Mr Nair has been a legal luminary and has served the High Court of Mumbai for more than 30 years. Known for his legal insights and modesty, he guides Edulight on legal aspects.

Mr. S.G. Siddesh

Retired CGM, NABARD leadership

Retd. - CGM, NABARD - As a part of the NABARD leadership team, Mr Siddesh has deep insights in to the rural markets. His prolific stint with NABARD gave him the experience of rural India which he effectively uses in guiding Edulight team in our socially relevant Rural India vocational skilling projects. He believes that equilibrium in scattered society is required for India to have a balanced growth where the fruits can be enjoyed by rural India and urban India.

Mr. P. Mohaniah

Retired CGM, NABARD leadership

Retd. CGM, NABARD – as a part of the NABARD leadership team, Mr Mohaniah has deep insights in to rural India. Known for his incisive knowledge on some of the path breaking execution models, Mr Mohaniah believes that skilling rural India and bringing companies in to rural domain is the only way to have a socially inclusive growth. He guides Edulight team on specific projects which are socially relevant and helps in overall inclusion and a better place to live.
